Rudnik Solar inaugurates a 75 kW power plant in Santa Terezinha, Santa Catarina

Project location: Santa Terezinha, Santa CatarinaGrid Connection Date: 2025,December 1
  • The Aiolfi I photovoltaic plant, composed of 700 W bifacial modules from EGING PV and a 75 kW GoodWe inverter, recorded a generation of 15,400 kWh in just 30 days, enough to supply approximately 95 homes with an average consumption of 161.7 kWh/month. An "old dream" of the owner, the plant became possible with the acquisition of land with a three-phase connection.

Last Saturday, Rudnik Solar inaugurated a photovoltaic power plant that promises to be a milestone in efficiency and innovation in the solar energy sector. The Aiolfi I PV plant, named after its owner and company collaborator, Wilian José Aiolfi, features a 75 kW GoodWe inverter and 192 700 W bifacial modules from EGING PV installed on a galvanized steel ground-mounted structure from Polimax, with its own cabling. Aiolfi revealed that the power plant is a long-held dream. Initially, he planned to build a plant on his parents' property in S?o Domingos, in the west of the state, where solar radiation is better. However, the lack of three-phase power on the property and the high cost of connecting to the grid, almost R$100,000, made the project unfeasible, which would have had an "eternal" p ayb ack period . The opportunity arose in March of this year, when Aiolfi acquired a property near the city where three-phase power was already available. "The land, which was not being used, offered adequate space for the power plant and also had a small stream, a childhood dream of mine due to the droughts my family has faced," he explains.

The power plant project was submitted to Celesc at the end of March. Initially, Rudnik was working with 585 W panels, but Wilian sought a more powerful solution. After research, he opted for 700 W modules from EGING PV and inverters from GoodWe. “The choice of modules was based on performance and space optimization. Instead of 240 585 W panels, the plant uses only 192 700 W modules, producing the same amount of energy, and even more, which has surprised us,” explains Aiolfi. The purchase of the modules was finalized in July through Fotus Distribuidora , and the installation took place in late August/early September, with the plant becoming operational in early October. The executive explains that “the performance has been exceptional. A 75 kWp plant in the region, which normally produces between 11,000 and 12,000 kW/month, closed the last month at 15,400 kW. The outlook for November and December is 16,000 to 17,000 kW, driven by the arrival of summer.” The total investment in the plant was R$ 285,000 (including the R$ 15,000 for the network construction), which, under the shared generation lease model, should generate a monthly income of approximately R$ 6,000, with an estimated payback period of 47 months (about 4 to 5 years). The energy generated is leased to a consortium, which uses it for energy subscription, passing on energy credits to the end consumer.

William explains that he monitors the power plant daily via an app, checking the inverter's operation and the need for cleaning the modules. "The main objective of the investment is to secure my retirement, with the expectation that the plant will be paid off within six years and providing passive income for 25 years," Aiolfi assesses. Rudnik in Solar Energy Rudnik is headquartered in Santa Terezinha, where it has a large distribution center for inventory and logistics. The company does not manufacture equipment, but operates as one of the largest integrators in Brazil, with approximately 250 employees (direct and indirect) and an estimated revenue of R$ 120 million for this year. Over eight years, Elcio Rudnik, CEO and founder of Rudnik Solar, identified "market pain points" as an integrator, leading him to create other companies within the group, forming an ecosystem focused on clean energy. Some of these companies include: Rudnik Solar Care: A company that provides monitoring and protection for photovoltaic systems, serving both B2B (other integrators) and B2C clients. Rudnik Energia Solar is a Solar Care client. Energy subscription company: Offers energy sales by subscription to retail customers. Appolo Software: An in-house developed software for the solar market, covering the entire end-to-end process, from lead generation to site inspection. It will be sold to the B2B market of solar integrators. Ecoposto Rudnik: Focused on electric mobility, it works with the sale and installation of fast chargers for electric cars, in partnership with major retailers in Santa Catarina. There are plans for its own units in 2026. Educational platform (Rudnik Institute): A project under development that offers mentoring for integrators, focused on business and sales management.

Rudnik has already installed more than 10,000 projects, including residential (rooftop) and larger power plants. The company is in a major expansion project, seeking to go beyond Santa Terezinha, but maintaining its origins in the city.
